After acquiring several regional carriers and cell sites and being awarded numerous FCC licenses across the country, Nextel Communications needed a more efficient and effective means of building a nationwide network and supporting its direct-connect technology. Sidusa Systems helped design, develop and deploy a cell site project management tool. A centralized, intranet-based tool, the system empowered Nextel to track cell site development milestones and related tasks, manage project teams, approve site survey results, accept real-time updates from field engineers, track dependencies and predecessors, and produce robust reports. |
